Celtic Artist

"In the current mindset of conservation and recycling we need to focus on things that will last."

Rudi began working with leather and precious metals over 40 years ago. Just recently a client brought back a book cover where the stitching had worn through. On checking the production date, it was made in August 1992, almost 16 years ago. The stitching was replaced and a little vaseline on the cover and it was as good as new. "The design stood out nice and clear and it was a wonderful confirmation that my work does last a lifetime"

As we approach the first decade on the web, we have seen many customers who come back for refills as well as other products or gifts for friends. Many of them have expressed their thanks and appreciation for the time and effort that has gone into my work. I'll quote a few if I may below.

Thanks for the excellent service and for a gorgeous way to preserve my friends lyrics.

In a world of machine-made factory items, the Celtic Empire collection stands apart, handcrafted and embossed the old-fashioned way.

"People are becoming more aware of what they're buying," says Rudi. "Today we live in a world where it's common to throw away our clothes because they are out of style rather than worn out. But some people are looking for things that will stand the test of time. There is a growing demand for durability and uniqueness - something with a personality behind it. And that is exactly what you'll find in every Celtic Empire piece.

The occasion of Towne Realty's 50th Anniversary was a very special one for all of us involved in the planning and execution. One of the highlights was presenting our founder with a leather-bound commemorative book custom designed for us by Rudi Dievelt. It allowed each of the employees of the organization, in his or her own way, to provide our founder with their own personal statement as to what the Towne organization meant to each of them. The fact that the book still remains in his home for all to see and is constantly referred to and presented to visitors and guests is another indication of the superb craftsmanship and quality that Mr. Diesvelt built into this wonderful commemorative book.
